Opera Mini mobile browser does not support fonts of languages like Bengali, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Gujarati, Korean, Chines, Japanes, Russian etc. except than English by default, but there is a secret Power-User settings available, to make Opera Mini support those unsupported characters of font. If “Use bitmap font for complex scripts” got enabled, then Opera Mini renders unsupported font as bitmap image, not as text. By this way, opera allows you to see web pages of your own language with any symbols.
Please follow these instructions below to enable “Use bitmap font for complex scripts”.
- Press menu -> Enter Address (version 4) or directly clock on Enter Address.
- Write “about:config: and press enter / OK.
- Now Power-User Settings will be appeared, scroll to the bottom and find the option called “Use bitmap font for complex scripts” -> set it to Yes -> press Save. Done! Enjoy!
